jQuery trigger and IE input file

Trying to get jquery's trigger to work with an input file element with IE. Couldn't make it happen. The popup to select a file came up and when you selected it filled in the field, however, whenever you hit the form submit button the focus would go back to the input field and clear out the file name. I think it is a security feature for IE based on searching around. I went back to the Inman method.
